I identified my next steps and a few actions I want to take before next week's session. I’m feeling motivated, about a 7/10. I look forward to next week.

I raised my hand in class for the first time to answer a question. I have a lot of questions about getting work, passports, joining the army, and playing soccer. I want something more than just school. I’ve applied for a job at a hotel, and I’m also trying to understand relationships and how to build them.
Client Reflection on Leadership
I don’t know much about leadership, and I didn’t see any need to change. Leadership is for people with titles and formal positions, and since I’m not in one, I don’t think I can lead." After discussing leadership concepts: "I’ve realized I can show leadership every day, even without a title. I’m taking responsibility for my own progress, not just waiting for others to guide me. I feel expanded and empowered now.
Check-in on Progress
I’m feeling more positive and confident about my life. I’m no longer a child—I’ve matured and can take on multiple perspectives. I don’t get stuck anymore. I know I can find solutions. I’m more focused on what matters to me, and I’m making progress with my goals.
Identity Growth
I see myself growing into someone who is charismatic, honest, diligent, intelligent, flexible, reliable, and responsible. I’m about 80% there, but I know I need more patience and perseverance to complete my journey.
Jefferson
I want to focus on getting ready for college and my career. I’ve already been accepted to a local community college, and I’m deciding between studying architecture or business.
Cynthia
My main goal is personal growth. We’ve been talking about having a growth mindset and practicing self-compassion as part of my journey.
Maniza
I had two job interviews, and we talked about how balancing a job with school would affect my routine. I don’t really like school some days, but I do want to go to university, maybe for a psychology degree, so I can help people.
Rabia
I’m not feeling well today, but I came to the session. My family might be moving in two months for better job opportunities, and I might not continue school if there’s no night school available. I want to be a doctor, so we talked about what it takes to get there.
Student-Athlete
I was sad last week because my coach didn’t play me, even though I made six goals! There are 15 girls on the team and only 10 spots, so I’m going to talk to the coach about what I need to do to earn my spot.
Student on Study Habits
My grades are getting better because I’ve been more focused in class. I stopped sitting with friends, I ask more questions, and I’ve been completing my homework. Better grades are motivating me to work harder. I’m also using a journal to track my progress and studying every day for 30 minutes.
Felix
I’ve grown so much in the past few weeks. I feel confident, clear on what I want to accomplish, and empowered to overcome obstacles. I’ve expanded my self-awareness and maturity, and I’m staying focused on my path.
Diana
I’ve been practicing saying ‘no’ instead of always saying ‘yes’ to every request for my time. I’m also interested in a career in dentistry, so I’m hoping to get an opportunity to shadow a dentist or hygienist this summer.
Mustafa
I want to be a doctor, but I also want to improve my English. I’m working full-time, so I don’t have a lot of time to study.
X’zaniyah
I want to focus on acting as a career, so we talked about time management strategies and how I can explore my acting options.
Anahi
I’m working on my resume and college applications, and we talked about some questions I have for my counselor. I’m also thinking about essay topics.
