Saying that Amel’s first free medical day for the Arab refugees in Houston was a huge success only shows how collective effort is much needed to further support and uplift this community. Over 104 individuals were registered within a week, and over 64 patients were checked.
This was only done with the help of our partners and team of volunteers. Everyone showed up armed with a smile and ready to make a change in these people’s lives.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Hussein Al Obaidi and Dr. Ghaidaa Makiki for not only offering their facilities, time, team, and expertise but also for their generous and kind spirit that made this campaign a resounding success.
