In response to the needs of displaced children in sheltering centers, and in recognition of the children’s right to play and their need for it, the education and child protection teams at Amel International organized entertainment games at the Lebanese University in UNESCO, in the faculties of Media and Education. The event included 18 different entertainment activities for 180 children at both faculties, in addition to providing psychological first aid. The protection team also conducted a rapid assessment of the specific needs of children, as well as women and girls, to mitigate the risks they might face within those centers.
