“The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members.” – Coretta Scott King
It is with great honor that Amel Association expresses our heartfelt gratitude for being part of Ride with Refugees impactful event. A huge thank you to Cindy Wu for inviting us to set up our table! We offered face painting for the children and families, which brought so much happiness to the day.
We also had the pleasure of connecting with other nonprofits in Houston and are excited to collaborate on future initiatives to support their causes.
This post would be incomplete without a special shoutout to our two young volunteers Leilana and Emily who helped with the face painting. Their efforts were met with long lines of excited kids, who proudly showed off their painted faces as they left our table.
Together, we will continue to build stronger communities, uplift refugee families, and ensure that no one stands alone in their journey toward a brighter future.
