This week was the beginning of a fascinating journey. Over a year’s worth of planning, training, and recruiting is now seeing the day of light in the official kick-off of Amel Association Houston’s first program with Liberty High School. This flagship program with HISD provides Leadership coaching to youth refugees and asylum seekers.
Professionally trained coaches from Rice University will inspire students to maximize their personal and professional potential. The Amel Coaching program is designed to facilitate the creation and development of goals and to develop and carry those goals to implementation.
Kudos to a team of ROCK STARS who have carried this project this far. I am proud to be on a team of passionate, talented, and committed leaders.Â
